3-Day Cancer Retreat
With Chris Adams, MD and Denise Carrico, Chaplain, BFA, Certified Integral Yoga Teacher
March 7 - 9, 2025
Having a cancer diagnosis is often an isolating and frightening experience. By joining a cancer retreat with us, we hope to help you redefine your experience of cancer.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT A RETREAT
Harmony Hill Cancer retreats offer individuals a respite from the stresses of daily life with a cancer diagnosis in a nurturing environment for the mind, body, and spirit. Through small group sharing sessions and other activities such as gentle movement, meditation, poetry, and art, our compassionate faculty, staff, and volunteers provide tools, activities, and practical resources to help facilitate healing and well-being. Harmony Hill promotes healthy self-care but does not advocate or promote any medical treatment model. Spirituality is often a strong thread of conversation throughout a retreat and is approached in a non-sectarian manner.

IS A 3-DAY CANCER RETREAT FOR YOU?
We believe that there is a time when it’s right for people to come. Some of the most common reasons people want to come are:
- Cancer is hard, and we all need a community that understands what we are going through.
- You want to learn ways to live more fully in the life that you have.
- You long to pause, take stock, and breathe.
- Because if you have a caregiver, they need support too.
PARTICIPANT ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- You have been diagnosed with cancer and are under a health professional’s care.
- You and your companion are 18 years old or over.
- You can attend all three days of the retreat, partial attendance is not permitted. Retreats start at 12:00 pm on the first day and end at 3:15 pm on the third day.
- You can walk or have a mobility assistance device.
- You can complete all activities of daily living yourself or with assistance from your companion.
- You can provide your transportation to and from The Sacred Waters Center.
We have a limited number of partial scholarships available for individuals who live in Washington State and are in low-income situations. To apply, please email us at programs@harmonyhill.org.
If you have questions about the above, please call us at 360.898.2363.
